An Iconic Piece Born in Buenos Aires
A true icon of modern design, the leather Butterfly chair was invented in Argentina. It was created by three architects: the Catalan Antoni Bonet and the Argentinians Juan Kurchan and Jorge Ferrari Hardoy, all trained in Le Corbusier’s studio in Paris.
In the late 1930s, they sought to redefine design by combining elegance with clean lines, and beauty with natural simplicity. An iconic piece was born.
